Beim Erzeugen von Heimat

Was ist Heimat, wenn es sie überhaupt gibt? Ist Heimat eine immanente Konstruktion? Was kann es bedeuten, sich beheimatet zu fühlen? Ausgehend von dieser Fragestellung, gehe ich der Überlegung nach, ob man dieses Gefühl selber herstellen kann. Ich versuche dem Begriff eine Erweiterung zu geben, die auf der These beruht, dass wir uns aufgehoben und zugehörig fühlen, wenn wir uns in unserem Tun und Denken, folgend in unserer Identität, gebraucht und gesehen fühlen. Das Projekt ist eine raumgreifende Installation, die durch eine Art Aktion/Performance von drei AkteurInnen benutzt wird. Diese Installation, fast eine Maschine, ist da, um ein Lagerfeuer zu erzeugen und kann nur gemeinschaftlich benutzt werden.

If even it exists, what is home? Is home an immanent construction? What does it mean to feel at home? Based on these questions, I asked myself whether it is possible to create a feeling of home. I tried to expand the definition of the term, assuming that we feel safe and secure if we have the sense that we are needed and a crucial part of something. The work is an installation, brought to life by three protagonists. Thee installation functions as a machine, which in collaboration of the three actors, is used to create a bonfire.
